TIL in the 1980s a man with severe OCD shot himself in the head in an attempt to commit suicide. Instead of killing him, the bullet destroyed the part of his brain that was responsible for his OCD, and he went on to become a straight-A college student five years later.

Most people don’t actually understand that the law was actually reinstated, homosexuality was previously decriminalised and then recriminalised AGAIN a second time in the fucking 21st century in India as a post colonial state. The fact that people are angry about white people being condescending about this is Valid and all but trying to act like India for some reason has been a paragon towards the gays especially when the actual LGBT community in India one that began before the 90s academic scene consisted of Dalit Bahujans and Muslim hijras who were still being harassed by the police just as they are now is very low. White colonists did worsen A LOOOOT of things but acting like they simply still are responsible for that bigotry and that Indians themselves have literally no opinions of their own either religious or cultural that actually makes them Homophobic is lol
